PROJECT DESCRIPTION / ENGINEERING SCOPE OF WORK:

Our firm was hired as florida project engineer for the new building and included paving, grading and drainage design and stormwater permitting with the City of Weston. Potable water, sanitary sewer and fire department connections were permitted with Broward County HRS and the City of Weston. The project’s overall scope was to take an existing bank and retrofit the site for a new office building. The architect was able to retrofit the bank building and add on to the building size where the bank had drive through tellers lanes. The paving and grading for the parking included new pavement design, overlay of existing asphalt, and milling and resurfacing of existing asphalt. Additional drainage structures and exfiltration was proposed to meet the water quality requirements for the site. Fire protection was added to the building with appropriate backflow prevention. Construction was completed in late 2007. Florida project engineer responsibilities include inspecting and certifying that the construction meets the design plans.
