CLIENTS: BERRIE ARCHITECTURE
SABRA ENTERPRISES DEVELOPMENT CORP.
LOCATION: HIALEAH, FLORIDA
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $4,000,000
PROJECT DESCRIPTION / SCOPE OF WORK:
Our hotel engineer services team provided civil-drainage retro-fit design for the parking lot that complemented with the interior renovation of the hotel by Berrie Architecture. Additional parking was proposed with new pavement design. Some areas of the existing parking lot were milled and resurfaced with new type S-III asphalt. The entire parking area was proposed to be seal coated with a slurry tack coat. Landscape islands were proposed with 2 foot wide openings to allow runoff to reach existing catch basin inlets to the drainage system. Concrete flumes were proposed where type d curb was installed at parking islands. Our hotel engineer staff was able to eliminate the need for drainage structures and piping on the project by providing these concrete flumes and channel openings. Our value engineering services saved over $100,000 in construction costs for Ramada Hotels.
