Mr. Manno hired Ross Engineering (‘RE’) for parking lot expansion project to design the a drainage system for a new parking lot. The new parking lot area was proposed on a vacant area northeast of the existing parking area along William Lehman Causeway. Due to occasional flooding caused by disconnected exfiltration trenches, Ross Engineering proposed to interconnect the existing drainage system to the new system to mitigate ponding throughout the parking lot. Additional exfiltration trenches were proposed to compensate for the addition of impervious area. Water quality calculations were performed to meet DERM’s 5 year storm event. Ross Engineering was also asked to design new ADA compliant parking stalls and handicap ramps to accommodate the Americans with disabilities and the elderly.
